Canon Middle East has launched a regional photography contest, giving photography enthusiasts the opportunity to capture the intricate beauty of the cities in which they live.
Entry to the competition couldn’t be any simpler, just grab your camera, capture what it is you think is Dubai’s standout characteristic, try to do it in such a way that is removed from the obvious cliché (ie: the tops of skyscrapers visible with low cloud enveloping the ground… Yawn).
Once you have the best shot you could possibly have conceptualised, simply submit it to the competition’s Facebook page.
The competition is open to residents and nationals of the entire Middle East, as well as North, East and West Africa. But being in Dubai, with the amount of variety on offer for an individualistic approach, surely our photographers have the advantage slightly, no?
As well as the acknowledgement of the regions photographing fraternity, the winner will also take home a Canon EOS 760D camera, and a Canon PIXMA PRO-10S printer. The judging panel will be made up of experts from the Dubai photography institute, Gulf Photo Plus (GPP).
The closing date for entries is 5th July 2015, so get out there and see what you can come up with.
